Signed Book Auction!

A couple of weeks ago, one of my author friends, Nicole Chase, requested prayers. Her husband's best friend, a young father of three, had been tinkering with his motorcycle in the driveway the previous evening, and had disappeared without explanation. He didn't take his wallet, or kiss his wife goodbye. If he opened the back door and hollered that he'd be right back, he wasn't heard. The assumption now is that he was taking his bike for a spin around the block to check whatever he'd been working on that afternoon.

The Corn Family

As he'd not been missing long enough for police intervention, his wife called his closest friends, and they conducted a hopeful search. Matthew Corn's body was found just a quarter mile from his home. He leaves behind his beloved wife, now a newly single mom, and three very small children. The lives of his family will never be the same.

Benjamin, Lilly and Andrew

As authors, we're all in various financial positions. For some, a financial contribution to this family isn't a burden; for others, it is - but many wanted to help. So this auction was created where readers could bid on sixteen "lots" (groups) of books rather than individual books. All four of my novels (Easy, Between the LinesWhere You Are, and Good For You) are included in Lot 9 (labeled " Muses"), along with Colleen Hoover's Slammed and Point of Retreat and Jessica Park's Flat-Out Love. They will come signed.

The auction, which runs through March 15th, is being held in US dollars, and is international - meaning that the authors featured (and there are MANY!) will mail them anywhere, once the winners have been validated. Please direct all questions to those running the event; my involvement and knowledge is limited to sending the books to the address of the winning bidder.

For those who can't participate in the auction, please consider giving a small donation through PayPal to help this family. I've been assured that 100% of the proceeds will go directly too them, and as we all know (especially those of us who are or have been coupon-clipping, bulk-buying types), modest amounts add up.

Thanks to everyone who considers a contribution of any kind, including prayers, for this sweet, grieving family.
