Breakable ARC winners

This past Saturday, I attended the biannual NTRWA (North Texas Romance Writers of America) conference, held in downtown Fort Worth, TX. While attending sessions about the craft of writing itself, fictional world-building, and issues with juggling real life and a writing career, I got to meet lots of wonderful local romance authors.

The day following the conference, there was to be a multi-author signing at the Barnes & Noble in nearby Southlake. I thought it would be cool to do a Breakable ARC giveaway for anyone who brought or bought a copy of Easy for me to sign. And since lots my awesome readers aren't anywhere near Texas, I added an extra giveaway for everyone else.

Everything was all cool. Until a friend who was presenting at the conference messaged me:

Her: Hey, you know the signing was cancelled, right?
Me: WHAT?!?

Since I wasn't staying at the conference hotel, I wasn't there when everyone else was informed that the Southlake B&N had been vandalized overnight and had to close for at least two days to repair the HAZMAT-worthy damage. (Eww! Brain bleach needed, STAT.)

Cue utter panic. I had people driving to DFW from who-knows-where, and a giveaway attached to the event. There was no cancel for me - but by the time I saw Sophie's message, I had two hours to get an alternate location set up. Luckily, my husband remained calm. He spoke with the fabulous managers at the Northeast Mall Barnes & Noble, who agreed to set up a signing table for me with almost no notice. (Before leaving, I signed the remaining copies of Easy, and they'd be happy to sell you one!)

Day saved! Thank you, Sophie, Paul and everyone at the Hurst, TX Barnes & Noble. In appreciation of the people who made the extra trek from Southlake to Hurst - I'm sending each one of you a signed copy of Breakable from my personal stash, as soon as my publicist sends it to me.

My two ARC giveaway winners were: LAUREN G. & JAIME A. Congrats, ladies!
